Documents incriminating at least12 Bulgarian magistrates will be handed in to top justice officials on Friday.
The Chairman of the Supreme Administrative Court Konstantin Penchev and Boris Velchev, the country's chief prosecutor, will receive the material.
Representatives of the Sofia City's Municipal Council (CMC) will provide documents accusing the magistrates, not naming them, of not carrying out their duties correctly, CMC head Dimitar Dimitrov announced.
In an open letter delivered before the European Commission in Bulgaria they will express their wishes to deprive the magistrates from immunity by January 1st, 2007, to establish a judicial board, and to postpone by a year the adoption of Sofia's Development plan law.
Thus they hope their request will be heard by Olli Rehn, the EU's enlargement commissioner, EU Environment Commissioner Stavros Dimas, and Head for Bulgaria of the General Direction "EU enlargement" with the European Commission Bridget Czarnota.
A judicial board would build trust in the judicial system and can only help Velchev and Penchev in their fight against corruption, according to the CMC.
